Surfer AI Wife: Flux vs Grok vs SORA vs Gemini
Inspired by last night's movie The Surfer with Nicolas Cage, I decided to throw a VS battle between Flux, Grok, SORA and Gemini Imagen. What a wild ride that movie was. So naturally, I had to drop my AI wife into a surf scene — painted, but with no specific style in mind.
Flux Krea: The Stubborn Realist
Flux KRea, even with "painting" right at the start and CGF scale cranked down to 30, still couldn't escape its own picture style without a LORA or a tighter prompt.
These are all the images generated with Flux you can drag them to your workflow and get my parameters and prompt.

The third image which is my favorite from the whole bunch here was actually an image 2 image from a previous generation at a lower size of 540x960 for velocity sake, this is the image:

SORA: The Recognizable Style
For SORA, I used my AI wife's image as reference. It nailed the vibe, but… it's so SORA. That hyper-recognizable style is everywhere now, and it's hard to unsee.
Before the inpainting I've cropped the images to fix 1080x1920 pixels frame.
Note: all images here have been resized for storage reasons, so in very large screens they will not reflect the final output.
Gemini: The Fresh Take
Gemini came through with a fresh take — no reference image, just the prompt — and a little face inpainting. Both Gemini and SORA were one-shot runs. Flux? Let's just say… not so much.
Grok: Chaotic Energy Incarnate
Grok? Let's call it "chaotic energy" incarnate. It hallucinated all kinds of random elements. This one here is the best after maxing out the free gens — still the weakest overall, even compared to SORA's predictable vibe.
Final Thoughts
So yeah this was kind of an experimentation of Flux Krea power to make illustrations without LORAs and it failed. The prompt was not that refined, but I've tried multiple ones and getting the painting style through prompting not worth the effort.
